Well, it’s raining Google Plus Extensions. Here is one of the popular ones. Google Plus Photo Zoom Extension gives you an option to view larger profile icons, and view other photos shared on your stream without leaving the page.It is same as of fb Photo Zoom, one of most popular extension.
Just hover over the image you wish to zoom and +Photo Zoom will load the enlarged version of the picture.
This saves a lot of time while browsing your social stream with a lot of images. And it is not rare that you feel like looking at a larger version of those tiny profile icons.
There is only one concern here. This is not so great if your connection is slow. You end up holding your mouse pointer on the image for longer time waiting for the image to load. When my connection is slow, (my ISP has a last week of the month syndrome, slooow connection on the last few days of the month.) I open images in different tabs and left them load there, and go on with my browsing.
So, over all, this is a useful extension. I will use this until I can confirm that Hover Zoom works for Google plus too. (Anyone tested it ?) .
